Keeping your gloves clean will make them last longer and maintain good grip on the ball. All you’ll need is soap/detergent, water and a towel. The washing process will take about 10 - 15 minutes. The key is to get rid of as much dirt as possible and drying your gloves slowly. If the latex on the palm gets too dry, it will become brittle and break.
Tip for players: to save time, wash your gloves in the shower, bath or sink straight after matches or training sessions.
Tip for parents: get your young goalkeepers to wear the gloves while washing them in the sink can save a lot of time and teach a good habit.
Using lukewarm water, make sure your gloves are well soaked, rub off surface dirt and grime. Put on your gloves, using a small amount of soap rub your hands together to remove the dirt and grime trapped inside the latex palms and the backhands. Rinse thoroughly until the water runs clear and wring gently to remove excess water.
Afterward, wrap your gloves in a towel/cloth overnight to remove more water. Then hang them up the next day to dry, somewhere away from heat source an sunlight.
